Eve K.K. is the host and Dungeon Mistress of Ghostpuncher Corps and the writer of Ghostpuncher. Both are available at Ghostpuncher.net.

1) What is your podcast about?

A gang of misfits and miscreants working on orders from Lucifer herself hunt escaped souls from hell, powered by Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition.

2) Who should listen to your podcast?

D&D nerds, metalheads, freaks & weirdos and people who want to see LGBT people, particularly trans women, tell their own stories.

3) How long have you been podcasting and why did you get into podcasting?

We’ve just hit a year on this podcast. I made this podcast to build a story with some of my closest friends in a world I’ve been tinkering with for ages. I’ve been listening to podcasts for close to 10 years and I’ve wanted to get into making them for ages, but I waited for the right time and idea to hit me.

4) What non-podcasting hobbies do you have?

Would it shock you if I said tabletop roleplaying? I’m a big nerd for TTRPGs like D&D and I spend as much time as I can working on or participating in them. I also love music a lot. I’ve got a vinyl record collection that I’ll talk your ear off about if you let me.

5) Tell us about your setup!

Right now, Ghostpuncher Corps is recorded on a variety of low-end microphones based on needs and availability for the cast members. I record on a Blue Snowball, which is what I’m trying to switch the rest of the cast over to. We record over Discord and I edit the whole shebang in Logic Pro X. I also use a large variety of ambient sounds, sound effects and music from Creative Commons licensed work to create that extra sense of drama.

6) What is one show (other than your own) that you think everyone should listen to?

Super Mario Bros Minute. They’re breaking the 1993 cult classic motion picture down minute by minute until the world at large acknowledges its brilliance, or until they run out of minutes and move on to another movie (which has already happened)

7) Anything else you’d like to share?

Ghostpuncher Corps shares its universe with Ghostpuncher, a horror-action webcomic following the adventures of Sidney “Ghostpuncher” Rivers and her friend Emma, as they hunt baddies for Lucifer using, among other things, Sidney’s cyborg fist.
