That King Thing is about three brothers (all with the surname King as my name may suggest!) discussing weekly gaming news with a distinct brotherly rivalry twist each week.
Back of the Grid is a Formula 1 show where 3 long time fans discus the season week by week and pit themselves against the listeners in their “predictions league” on the shows website.
Anyone who likes gaming & is interested to hear 3 brothers with very different gaming preferences discuss games should check out That King Thing.
F1 fans who want down to earth analysis of races and thoughts on the sport and its news, or those who fancy themselves at predicting the results each week, should check out Back of the Grid
It’s been nearly 3 years now on TKT and we are in our second year of BOTG. Listening to other podcasts sparked the interest as we thought it was a fun way to do something together as brothers, and the community kept us going this long so far. The support from listeners is a huge driving force, as well as the networks you end up creating with other shows
The obvious answer here is gaming and formula one! The less obvious answer is mountain biking. I’m rubbish but I enjoy the sensation of a nice downhill course and getting out on the bike.
I personally use a Blue Yeti and some nice Sudio headphones and we record via some online software, Zencastr. The other guys on both shows all use Blue Snowballs.
Hmm this is a tough one. For old times sake (as the show doesnt currently put out new episodes) it would have to be Don’t Lose Your Headline. Built up a great relationship with those guys and it’s a shame they aren’t currently podcasting anymore.
I currently help run a network called BritPodScene which is a collective of great UK based podcasts that work together to help each other improve and grow and share tips from their own podcasting experiences. It’s an awesome community with some truly brilliant shows worth checking out. I have a list right here on Podchaser featuring a lot of them!
Thomas says you should start with these episodes if you want to try his podcasts!
