8 Star Wars Podcasts that Shot First

The extended universe of Star Wars just keeps on extending.  The fandom spans generations, and the unending production of new material guarantees that the Jedi and Sith aren’t going anywhere.

To celebrate Solo hitting theaters soon, here are 8 podcasts all about the Star Wars universe:

State of the Empire

State of the Empire is a Star Wars speculation podcast and dives headfirst into news, rumors, and wild guesses about what’s next in the Lucasfilm world.  Their most recent episode is all Solo Speculation, featuring a close look at every trailer and an attempt to decipher clues from Solo Monopoly.

Unmistakably Star Wars

Unmistakably Star Wars is a show all about bringing positivity to the Star Wars fandom, even if that means causing a little controversy along the way. Their latest episode seeks to discover ways in which the new sequels might be better than the original trilogy. Heresy? Potentially. But the second show in this two-part series is all about the ways they may be worse.

Rogue Won is a podcast for winners. That’s all you need to know. They’ve been feverishly following all the Solo hype, so tune in for analysis on tv spots, behind the scenes featurettes, and some boycott rumors.

The Force Sports

Do you like Star Wars, but also like sports? Do you want to hear people talk about both? The Force Sports is a podcast that alternately releases episodes either about Star Wars or about sports news. Easy Riders Raging

Ok so this one isn’t technically about Star Wars, but if you’re an Original Trilogy or Bust diehard, you might like Easy Riders Raging. It’s a podcast all about the cinematic 1970’s and why it was the best decade for movies. They look at classics like Alien, The Godfather and Annie Hall as well as some of the decade’s defining directors like Scorsese, Coppola and De Palma. Star Wars Minute

If you’re someone who pauses a movie every 60 seconds to analyze the detail, look no further than Star Wars Minute. It’s a podcast that dedicates every episode to one minute of a Star Wars movie. They’re currently in Revenge of the Sith; hear what they have to say about the heart-stopping action of Sidious putting his hand on Anakin’s head.
