We're back this week to talk about all the rock news that's fit to spit with New Noize v10! There's definitely been some wacky and interesting news in the rock world in recent weeks and we're going to break it all down for you and give our unfiltered opinions!   Several relevant KISS-related stories and rumors have been in the ether recently. In this episode we'll touch on the new single from Ace Frehley's upcoming Origins Vol 2 as well as a cache of personal ephemera of the Spaceman's being sold by a bitter ex; yikes! Also, Vinnie Vincent made an announcement to his private following, yet it still got leaked out. Is it bizarre? What do you think? We share our thoughts and predictions.   Other topics covered this week include Chris Jericho vs Sebastian Bach, new Overkill album updates, discussion of the new Enuff Z'nuff album and why Steve Gorman may have penned the greatest rock bio ever.   Additionally, we talk the upcoming Ellefson 'No Cover' album, Ron Keel covering Dio-era Sabbath, Lars Ulrich defending the St. Anger snare drum sound (blech), and much more!   We hope you enjoy New Noize v10 and SHARE with a friend!   Contact Us!   Rate, Review, and Subscribe in iTunes Join the Facebook Fan Page Follow on Twitter Follow on Instagram E-mail Us Subscribe to our Youtube channel!   Support Us!   Buy a T-Shirt! With our scheduled guest unable to join us we decide to kick back, drink a few, and talk about how we were Raised on KISS! In this discussion we share some stories from throughout our personal KISStory. From being ostracized by fellow students to concert memories to remembering where we were during landmark moments in the band's history, it's funny and revealing. We even learned a few things about each other. What are some of YOUR memorable moments of being Raised on KISS? We'd love to hear them so leave yours in the comments section! We hope you enjoy this last episode for KISSmas in July for this year and SHARE with a friend!
We welcome back Bakko from the Cobras and Fire podcast to join us as we list our KISS Top 10 Bottom 10! In addition to his hosting duties, Bakko has been a longtime writer for the Decibel Geek website. Recently, he put out an article ranking every song in the KISS catalog; not an easy feat! As with most lists, it's reflective of the writer's personal take and we had our share of differences with his list. So, we figured the best way to rectify the situation was to bring him on and give our Top 10 and Bottom 10 KISS songs while going over his list as well. Would we agree? Would there be verbal bashing? Honestly, due to the amount of beer consumed in this episode, we don't really remember! Additionally, Bakko takes on Chris in a rematch of Beat the Geek hosted by Aaron Camaro! Did Chris get embarrassed? Did Bakko get crowned? As said previously, we don't remember so join us and find out! We hope you enjoy KISS Top 10 Bottom 10 and SHARE with a friend! Former KISS guitar tech Barry Ackom joins us this week to share some incredible KISS Road Stories! Hired on to work for the band during the Alive! tour, Barry would pull double duty doing guitar tech work for both Paul Stanley and Ace Frehley. His tenure with The Hottest Band in the Land lasted through Alive II around 1978. Barry had a front row seat to the fast ascent of KISS and was a part of numerous landmark moments in the band's zenith. We barely scratched the surface in this entertaining chat but touch on topics such as the sold out 3 night run at Cobo Hall in 1976, the Anaheim Stadium show, the making of Destroyer, and KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park! Other subjects covered include a hilarious story of a barefoot Ace Frehley in Sweden, Ace getting shocked in Lakeland, Florida, and the subsequent use of wireless gear. Also, Barry shares how his Chicago-area band Lois Lane was almost a farm club for KISS replacement members. It's an hour-plus of great stories told by a man that witnessed the magic of KISS first-hand. We hope you enjoy Road Stories with Barry Ackom and SHARE with a friend Merry KISSmas in July!
