BLE144 - S7E6 - #130 Dr. Lewis Powell
The Blacklist Exposed
Artificial Intelligence is all the rage these days and everyone is trying to make theirs better than the competition. Now that competition is being targeted by one Dr. Lewis Powell, or are they? Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon. Case Profile for Dr. Lewis Powell Dr. Lewis Powell, a leader in the field of artificial intelligence, created an AI so sophisticated that it was able to determine how to save humanity. The solution? Eradicate AI itself. This means that the scientists behind AI and any computer able to create AI must be eliminated, including Powell, who was killed by his own creation, an AI known as Clark. Elsewhere we are introduced to the female version of Aram in Agent Park, a new member interviewing for a spot on the task force with a mysterious past that she won’t talk about it. Francesca is also interviewing for a job with Reddington in a classic blacklist rope-a-dope loyalty test. Aram continues his adventurous ways with his sex mistress, while Brimley returns to cook up both some sweets and some creeps in an episode that will definitely go down as one to remember in blacklist history. Be sure to answer our profiling question of the week: What do you think happened in Anchorage? Visit our feedback page to leave a response or call +1 (304) 837-2278. Dr. Lewis Powell In Pictures Here are a just a few of our favorite scenes from this week. Red's Rhetoric for Dr. Lewis Powell Welcome to Red's Rhetoric that part of the show where we feature two great scenes from Red himself then you get to vote for your favorite in our online poll. Our first clip comes as Red shares a cigar with Francesca. Our second comes as Red enjoys a sweetness that only comes from apples. Which was your favorite? If you can truly confide in someone vote #RedTrust or if you take your dessert with heavy cream vote #RedBetty The Music of Dr. Lewis Powell We are treated to a 100% Dave Porter original this week as no tunes stood out to us.  But the interludes and undertones of the scenes like Aram sneaking into the house or the fight sequence were certainly on point.    You can hear these songs via the official Blacklist playlist on Spotify or the same playlist recreated by us on Apple Music.  Keep Connected Each week of The Blacklist Exposed will take a deep look at both the minor and major plot lines to this fantastic series. Respecting Classic Films and Actors, Listener Questions, Doctor Sleep, His Dark Materials, And Terminator's Dark Fate
The Hollywood Outsider
Do you feel our nostalgia for classics causes us to be TOO respectful of these films? On this week's podcast, instead of a typical topic of the week, we field several intriguing listener questions and topics. From the aforementioned debate on if we're too nostalgic to where the film business is headed after 2019, movies to describe our dream lives, why some franchises get stale and others do not, to what is the funniest nude scene in film. There's a lot here to cover, and it's a lot of fun. Also this week: reviews of Doctor Sleep, His Dark Materials, Terminator: Dark Fate (along with the future of the franchise), and much more. BLE143 - S7E5 - #138 Norman Devane
The Blacklist Exposed
The superbugs of the future are out to get us! Thank God we have Norman Devane to manufacture preventative cures for us all. Too bad he experiments on kids in order to make that happen. Support the Show! Be sure to #FillTheFedora on Patreon. Case Profile for Norman Devane Dateline Season 6 Episode 3 - Spaulding Stark aka #124 The Pharmacist is apprehended and sent to Jail but not before delivering an experimental solution to our Red Reddington who seems to be suffering from some sort of illness. Maybe something similar to what Constantine Rostov suffered from? Fast forward to this week and Spaulding Stark is back and he is analyzing blood samples of Reddington’s collected by the non English urine and blood pusher Ernesto to see if the trial drug worked or not. While we hang on that for a minute since this is the Blacklist, we meet an Obsessive Compulsive, Germophobe who is similar in nature to The Pharmacist. Experimenting on people to find the right serums to fix all that ails him. Or in this case MAY ail him in the future. His name is Norman Devane, and he likes needles. Turns out he hires a guy to hack The national diagnostics lab server farm to find 20 test subjects all with B- blood type, all young white males, and all with close to the same genetic mapping as himself. Using a former colleague of his (whose child was saved by Devane), he sets up shop at the Abbot Boarding School in Virginia, the same place where those 20 boys were enrolled.
