Adrian Richard Finighan (born 20 December 1964) is a Welsh journalist and broadcaster currently serving as a presenter and reporter for Al Jazeera English, based at the network’s headquarters in Doha. With a journalism career that began in local radio during his teens, Finighan trained on the job and joined the BBC in 1988, where he worked across BBC Local Radio, Radio 1, and Radio 2, later transitioning to television with the BBC’s Business Unit and Newsroom South East. He became a prominent face on BBC World News and BBC News 24 before moving to CNN International in 2006, where he remained until 2010. In addition to his broadcasting work, he co-owns a company with his brother and appeared briefly as a news anchor in the 2005 film V for Vendetta.
