Angela Slatter is an author who writes speculative fiction, especially short stories. She is best known for her supernatural crime Verity Fassbinder trilogy. Occasionally, she publishes under the name A. G. Slatter.Slatter also teaches at the Australian Writers’ Centre and at Queensland University of Technology. In 2016, she was the Writer-in-Residence at the Katharine Susannah Prichard Writers Centre in Perth.Slatter's short stories have appeared in anthologies and journals in Australia and internationally. Her first book, the collection "Sourdough and Other Stories," was published in 2010. She has published eight collections and five novels.Slatter received her M.A. and a Ph.D. in Creative Writing, and she is a graduate of Clarion South and the Tin House Summer Writers Workshop.
