PhD Student at University of Dundee. Anna works in the field of motor neuron disease and frontotemporal dementia, which have more in common than you might think. She uses high-resolution microscopy techniques to look at how synapses - small, delicate structures that allow our brain cells to communicate with each other - change in disease. She wants to also see if those changes happen all over the brain or in specific regions that correlate with the symptoms we see.
