Dr. Carlos Quiñonez is a is a dental public health specialist, academic, and researcher whose specialty is the history, politics and economics of dentistry, with a focus on social equity. Currently, he is Associate Professor and Program Director at the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Toronto.Dr. Quiñonez is the Editor of the journal "Ontario Dentist." He has been Chair of the Canadian Dental Association’s Committee on Clinical and Scientific Affairs, President of the Canadian Association of Public Health Dentistry, and President of the Canadian Dental Specialties Association.Dr. Quiñonez received his M.Sc. and his D.M.D. from the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba, and his Ph.D. and dental public health specialty at the University of Toronto. He did his postdoctoral fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto.
