Colin S. Diver is a lawyer and university president. He was the president of Reed College in Portland, Oregon, and he was the dean of the University of Pennsylvania Law School from 1989 to 1999. Diver's first book, "Breaking Ranks: How the Rankings Industry Rules Higher Education and What to Do about It," was published in 2022.
