Colton has a background in musical theatre, so his life has always been surrounded by music. Growing up taking dance classes and singing in musicals really exposed him to all sorts of music at an early age. From classical piano pieces in ballet to hearing the Gorillaz "Demon Days" in jazz class, his performance training helped ignite the spark of his now diverse sonic curiosity. However, it would not be until 2013 when he first heard Frank Ocean's "Channel Orange" and Daft Punk's "Random Access Memories" that he felt awakened to his passion for contemporary music. From there he began to really understand the beauty behind the album format and started to expand his personal music listening catalogue.
