EE-2-1 - Good Deeds To Be Done
Adventures In Erylia
SUMMARY This episode marks the return of the Erylian Epic campaign and it starts up right where the previous campaign left off. Having finished their business with the dwarves in Starrengeld, the party makes their way back down the mountain to begin their next leg of the adventure. Currently, the plan is to investigate the location of Grimfang, and return that information to the village to handle the situation. However, waiting for them at the bottom of the lift is Lydia, the mayor, to complicate things. SHOUT OUTS All of our Patrons – Support from our patrons helps us do things with the show that we could not otherwise afford to do. This may not always be noticeable, or take a while to show results, but we reached a huge savings milestone as our last Story arc was winding down. Thanks to everyone who has supported us along the way, we were able to commission character art for the Erylian Epic party. Dungeons and Randomness‑ – D&R is one of the podcasts I have listened to the longest, and is one of the shows that inspired me to create my own. They are a great actual play with hundreds of episodes and a large and diverse cast. They have also just begun a new arc in their story and released recaps to help get caught up to the story right away! MS-2-8 - Nightwatch - Escape From Mieveht
Adventures In Erylia
Arc 2 of the Mieveht Story has wrapped up, that means it is time for our Nightwatch. The Nightwatch is a special episode where the whole cast gets together to have a meta discussion about the previous campaign arc. This gives them the chance to respond to how certain events went as well as ask questions about why the DM made certain choices, what things they missed along the way, and how things could have gone differently. MS-2-7 - A Look At The Past
Adventures In Erylia
SUMMARY This is a bit of a special episode. As we have wrapped up the second arc of the Mieveht Story, we take a look back at the past of each character. This episode includes three scenes from each character’s backstory to help give some insight into the type of person they are, why they make some of the choices they make, and what some of their ultimate goals are. We hope you have enjoyed this arc of the Mieveht Story. Our next release will be the Nightwatch that was recorded live with our Discord audience. Announced during that and a heads up now, we will be on a brief hiatus during August. August is a very full month for us and we didn’t have time to have content ready to release while we are away. SHOW SPONSORS This episode is brought to you by Gabe and Jeff, over at Inter-Party Conflict, Chaiikaii, Fred on Fyre, Evora Dawn, Zach B, and Dungeons & Randomness. If you'd like to join them in supporting the show, consider joining our Patreon. SHOUT OUTS We have got to give a huge shout out to Tabletop Audio and BattleBards for this episode. All of the musicians who let us use their music are wonderful and we couldn't make the show we do without them. But in this episode specifically, the background ambiance that they provided really helped with setting the scene for each piece of backstory. MS-2-6 - Sunshine and Curiosities
Adventures In Erylia
SUMMARY As the party climbs up the ladder to finally leave the sewer system after a long and arduous journey, they are greeted by a very pleasant tiefling woman. Cazivel owns a small shop near the center of Mieveht’s Cyriin district that sells trinkets for travelers, but also a few magical items. After a moment of trying to buy some of her magical goods, Chalul being the only one successful with an Alchemy Jug, she starts getting them ready for their job. It is made clear to the group that this job isn’t just cover for leaving the city, they are doing a real job for her, and by association, for Cassien as well. She hands over travel papers and contracts to Willow, as well as a letter that they were told is to remain unopened until they find Sinah Nightmoon in the town of Rhodes. After their cart is loaded and they are ready to go, she gives them their final piece of cargo, a medium sized box which she places within a secret compartment of the cart. As the cart makes its way down the streets, Willow happens to notice a wanted poster, with likenesses that could match them and others. Some are crossed off, and it is clear the bounty is 1000 gold per head. She informs Chalul who happens to spot another. How safe are they leaving? SHOUT OUTS Everyone is Jonas – Everyone is Jonas is an actual play podcast using an altered version of the rules for the rules lite RPG Everyone is John. The show is recorded live on Twitch every Monday at 7:30pm Pacific time on the Cave Goblin Twitch channel. The 3 hosts and their guest are all demons living inside the head of Jonas fighting for control of their human host in order to achieve their goals, this gives the show a slight competitive aspect to it. The show takes place in a modern fantasy Vancouver BC, though recently they have been crossing into the “Other World”. Caitlin and Damian are regulars in their live chat so come join in on the fun. Inter-Party Conflict – Inter-Party Conflict is a great RPG discussion show that has been a friend of the Adventures in Erylia family nearly since the beginning. When we got to doing a second round of playing promos on the show it was only fitting that theirs came up. The hosts, Gabe and Jeff take questions sent in by their community or that they find out on the web. Got a question? Send it in so they can answer it and you can have the best tabletop experience possible. MS-2-5 - A Bargain With Red Tusk
Adventures In Erylia
SUMMARY Having given themselves over to a group of bandits who have claimed the area they are trying to get through, the party has a meeting with the bandit leader, a full blooded orc named Red Tusk. Red Tusk gives them the option of bartering for their lives. He makes little comment as the members of the party give up some weapons and coin, except when one member tries to get ahead by claiming the others are giving fake coins. After giving the party a few chances to add to their bounty, without any hint if they are close enough, he reveals that their lives were worth 300 gold to him and let’s them be escorted away from the Red Band’s Lair. Tough it might be expected that the party is home free now, one of them decides to sling a last minute insult at their escort, creating more conflict. Though they manage to work things out enough to leave, there is unfinished business that must be attended to in the future. However, they have finally reached their destination. FuriousMole joined us during our Extra Life Live Stream last year and has been hanging out with us since. We love getting the chance to interact with people who listen to the show, so if you’re reading this, come join us! We also have a promo from The Daily Tavern this episode. The Daily Tavern is a great show that is set up as a news show for the fantasy city of Shatterpoint. Listen to this to keep up to date on what’s going on within Shatterpoint. – A bit of a note regarding this show. Unfortunately in the time since I got this promo to using it in the show, the show seems to have faded out. I’m pretty sad about this and hope that Arthur does return with more episodes. If you give it a listen because of this, reach out and let him know!
