Deborah Treisman is an author and editor. Currently, she is the Fiction Editor of The New Yorker.
Previously, Treisman was the editor of the literary magazine Grand Street, and before that she worked at Harper's Bazaar.
Treisman is the host of the New Yorker Fiction Podcast, and the editor of the anthology "20 Under 40: Stories from The New Yorker."
Treisman was raised in Oxford until she was 8 years old and she moved with her family to Vancouver. She received a B.A. in Comparative literature from the University of California at Berkeley.
