Carl Hart is a professor of neuroscience and psychology at Columbia University. He is known for his research in drug abuse and drug addiction, and he was the first tenured African American professor of sciences at Columbia University.

Dr. Carl Hart is a drug researcher and an occasional drug user because you can be a respectable, intellectual, high-functioning professional and a loving family man and occasionally do a little heroin.
