Reader (Associate professor) at Queen's University Belfast and representative of the ISTAART Eye as a Biomarker for AD PIA.Imre is particularly interested in how we could use the eye as a less expensive, better tolerated and faster marker to monitor the progression of neurodegeneration. He undertakes clinical eye imaging and uses postmortem tissues to generate molecular and high-resolution anatomical confirmation for the changes we see in eye images.
