Dr. Ghanim Kashwani, UAE National, who got his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland, UK, is the first Emirati to be Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) (MICE) from Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), UK. Additionally, as academic-industrial professional, Kashwani is a Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) (MSSE) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr) (MCMI), where he received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from American University of Sharjah (AUS). Kashwani has an industrial experience with major companies as he works as Team leader in Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) for several years. Moreover, as Chartered Scientist (CSci), UK, Kashwani publishes many papers in international journals in which his research interests include construction materials, safety engineering, and fire engineering.
