Dr. Ghanim Kashwani, UAE National, who got his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Heriot-Watt University,Scotland, UK, is the first Emirati to be Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng) (MICE) from Institution of CivilEngineers (ICE), UK. Additionally, as academic-industrial professional, Kashwani is a CharteredEnvironmentalist (CEnv) (MSSE) and a Chartered Manager (CMgr) (MCMI), where he received hisBachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering from American University of Sharjah (AUS). Kashwanihas an industrial experience with major companies as he works as Team leader in Abu Dhabi National OilCompany (ADNOC) for several years. Moreover, as Chartered Scientist (CSci), UK, Kashwani publishesmany papers in international journals in which his research interests include construction materials, safetyengineering, and fire engineering.
