Ian Sample is The Guardian's Science editor, planet's worst surfer, and author of Massive. He was shortlisted for the Royal Society Winton Science Book Prize and host of Science Weekly. He was also a journalist at New Scientist and worked at the Institute of Physics as a journal editor.
