José Pablo Iriarte is an author of children's fiction, science fiction, and fantasy, and a teacher. They are best known for their short novelette, "The Substance of My Lives, the Accidents of Our Births,” which was nominated for both the Nebula Award and the James Tiptree Award.Iriarte's fiction has appeared in Uncanny, Lightspeed, Strange Horizons, and others, and in several year’s-best anthologies.
