João leads a Software Engineering team tasked with building Software to support the Health Insurance company he works for pharmacy and provider management teams. As the most senior engineer in the company, he is also involved in the design and set up of the architecture of various parts of their platform. He is also married to dementia researcher Dr Isabel Castanho.
