In the second hour, Mark Grote and Anthony Herron were joined by Scott Merkin of MLB.com to discuss the latest White Sox storylines coming out of SoxFest. The guys then reacted to the latest Cubs and White Sox news in the past week. Later, Score overnight host Les Grobstein joined the show to reflect on the 34th anniversary of the Bears defeating the Patriots to win Super Bowl XX.
Mike Mulligan, Zach Zaidman and special guest Les Grobstein conducted the daily 5 at 5 segment, which began with a debate about how far the Bears are from winning a division title after a disappointing season. They then discussed whether the Bears (7-8) finishing with a .500 record would change the evaluation of their season in any way. And should the Bears make changes at general manager, coach and/or quarterback? The morning crew also shared its level of Bulls buzz after Chicago's two-game winning streak was snapped with a loss at Orlando on Monday night. Later, the guys discussed how big of an impact designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion would have on the White Sox if they signed him. (12/24/19)
