Méabh de Brún is an actor, playwright and writer who explores difficult subjects through black comedy and dark fantasy. She has acted onstage from an early age, and has been a voice actor in video games, radio plays and commercial voice-over work.de Brún's fiction has been published in The Stinging Fly, Banshee Press, and Neon Hemlock, and has been collected in anthologies. Her first one-act play, "Dead Man’s Bells," won eight festival awards in its first tour and the DCLI/ACDI Playwriting Award. She has also written the screenplays for the short films "Saint Sisters and the Sea," "Locked," and "The Pillar." She has also written for the audio dramas "A Dark Night In Dublin," and "The Town Whispers."
