Nicole Avant is an American businesswoman, philanthropist, and former diplomat. She served as the U.S. Ambassador to the Bahamas from 2009 to 2011, under President Barack Obama, becoming one of the youngest and first African American women to hold the position. Avant is the daughter of legendary music executive Clarence Avant and Jacqueline Avant, and has been influential in her family's work in the entertainment industry. She co-produced the Netflix documentary The Black Godfather (2019), which highlights her father's life and legacy.
