Orson Scott Card is a science fiction writer known. He is best for his 1985 novel "Ender's Game" and its 1986 sequel "Speaker for the Dead." He has won many fiction awards, including the Hugo, the Nebula, the Locus, and the John W. Campbell Award. He has also written political, religious, and social commentary in his columns and other writing.
Card began his writing career as a playwright while attending Brigham Young University, and has published over 50 novels and 45 short stories.
