Rachel Syme is a writer, reporter, cultural critic, and editor who focuses on the intersections of women’s lives, artistic production, history, and fame. Currently, she writes a column for The New Yorker on fashion, style, and consumer culture. Syme's work has appeared in the Times Magazine, Elle, GQ, Grantland, New York magazine, Pacific Standard, Vogue, Rolling Stone, and The New Republic. Syme grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and attended Stanford University.
