Ray Nowosielski is a non-fiction storyteller in all media with much experience. A decade of productions with two-time Oscar-winner Barbara Kopple taught him how to produce documentaries with excellence, culminating with AppleTV production The Super Models and Max production Gumbo Coalition. He contributed as director & producer for season 3 of VICE on HBO, which was nominated for a Prime Time Emmy, and as producer of a short for Morgan Spurlock's Webby-winning docu-series We the Economy. As consulting producer, Ray collaborated with Oscar-winner Alex Gibney & Pulitzer-winner Lawrence Wright on a segment of the pilot for Amazon's docu-series adaptation of the hollowed journalism institution The New Yorker. He produced the Netflix Johnny Cash documentary Tricky Dick & the Man in Black, nominated for a News & Doc Emmy. He co-produced HISTORY's Desert One, also nominated for a News & Doc Emmy. His work in "true crime" includes producing Investigation Discovery's Murder in Mansfield and co-creating the iHeart #BlackLivesMatter podcast After the Uprising, seeing him a nominee for the 2022 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Podcast. As a journalist, his work has been published by NowThis News, Salon, Newsweek, TalkHouse, Fortune, The Intercept, TruthOut & Gawker, and Skyhorse Publishing released his "war on terror" expose book The Watchdogs Didn't Bark in 2018. His latest iHeart podcast, George Bailey Was Never Born, looks at America and its love affair with the holiday classic It's a Wonderful Life.
