Ben Gibbard has lead our fragile minds to ponder many heavy topics over time, dating back to our teenage years. Possibly none more than the music video for I Will Follow You Into the Dark, which aims to makes sense of the fear and unknown realities surrounding death. This week hit pretty hard as a recent tragedy took place between the times of recording and editing this episode, but we’re trying to use it for good. Take this time to tell your loved ones how much they mean to you, because you never know when that opportunity will be taken away.   BONUS EPIOSDES AND PHOTOS ON PATREON!   Links: 10% off Merch with all Proceeds Going to the Human Society Donate to or Find a Pet at the Humane Society Cute Pics of Levi the Pitbull I Will Follow You Into the Dark Music Video NME Interview About the Meaning of this Song     Hit us up online! The Blink-182 family tree saw a huge growth to it’s branch system when Tom DeLonge released the first full length album “We Don’t Need to Whisper” with Angels & Airwaves in 2006. For just over 14 years the ambient sounds of chains, boots, walkie-talkies, and super delayed but vaguely familiar guitar riffs have blessed our boomboxes and iPods and you’d be hard pressed to take this record from our cold dead hands. One of the hosts of the show thinks this album is an absolute masterpiece and adores nearly every song on this record, meanwhile another host thinks it’s all just okay. However, one thing the guys CAN agree on is this album is a very welcome addition to the Blink family tree.   BONUS EPIOSDES AND PHOTOS ON PATREON!   Links: We Don’t Need to Whisper on Apple Music We Don’t Need to Whisper on Spotify Documentary Excerpt on Critter Engineering for AVA Hardcore Frontman Running Out of Generally Well-Accepted Beliefs to Share by The Hard Times   Songs of the week: Kyoto by Pheobe Brigers Cups (When I’m Gone) by Anna Kendrick     Hit us up online! All good things must end, but that doesn’t mean it has to be a bummer. In this week’s draft, a part 2 from last week’s summer road trip mixtape draft, the guys pick the 8 songs they want to hear on the way back from the best summer road trip ever. The vibe is mellow, but not too mellow that you start drifting at the wheel. The guys relive some great mornings and evenings in high school, get way off track with a discussion about Taking Back Sunday, and as always, almost end up fighting over the same few Brand New songs! Make sure to stream and download the playlist on Apple Music or Spotify!   BONUS EPIOSDES AND PHOTOS ON PATREON!   Links: The Way Home: The Summer Road Trip Return Mixtape Draft on Apple Music The Way Home: The Summer Road Trip Return Mixtape Draft on Spotify Everything Is Fleeting feat.
