Vanessa Nakate is a climate justice activist. She grew up in Kampala and became a celebrity in December 2018 after becoming concerned about the unusually high temperatures in her country.Nakate's first book, "A Bigger Picture: My Fight to Bring A New African Voice to the Climate Crisis," was published in 2021.Nakate grew up in Kampala, Uganda. She received her degree in business administration in marketing from Makerere University Business School.
