Wendy Geza is an agricultural researcher.
Wendy Geza is a PhD student in food security at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. She had no intention of getting into the STEM field, she wanted to be an accountant, but a particular incident brought her to this field. She has since settled into the agricultural area and believes that to achieve sustainable development goals, it warrants the creation of economic opportunities for young people in agriculture. As a result, her research aims to promote better youth engagement and participation in agriculture in Africa. In this episode she emphasizes the point of creating spaces in the agricultural sector that interests young people. As you know, agricultural does not have a "glamorous appeal." Due to this fact, Wendy elaborates that there is a need for the sector to be better packaged.  In a manner that will get meet the goals that young people ant aspire for and in the process, get more students into the field by exposing them to the other aspects of the area other than just primary agriculture.
