Doctors in space, a deposed alien prince, a super gay space pirate and a fiery nurse who'll help you win your bar fight. #audiofiction from @justinmclachlan and PlanetM.
The Diarist is a psychological drama exploring the alluring side of power and sexual attraction. Andrea Davies hopefully enters the paradoxical world of 1950s womanhood but she soon veers into an increasingly menacing extramarital affair with Richard Hayes, a dominant ad executive. However, the Diarist is no 50 shades of gray, more like a Hitchcock Love Story with a dose of David Lynch. The story starts innocently enough but soon turns bizarre as the inner worlds of the characters are revealed. The Diarist immerses listeners into the 1950s world of Madison Avenue advertising. Secrets are exposed, darkness descends, and for Andrea all roads appear to lead to a harrowing fate. Created by: Donna Barrow-Green, Co-Produced by Donna Barrow-Green, Beth Ricketson, Ryan Bowen . Starring: Beth Ricketson, Ryan Bowen, Corrine Elena, Darlene Sorenson, Eric Schniewind, Nikki Flynn, Heather Dowling, Pierson Rintz, Shelly Bryant, Emerson McRaven Sound Engineering by Donna Barrow-Green & Ben Green. Creative consulting: Chad Thumann.

So you're single. You've tried Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, OKCupid, JSwipe, Christian Mingle, Farmers Only, Purrsonals. Shut up, we know you have. So we wrote a show about using them to find dates. Not an advice show, a scripted show. Like on TV, but you can't watch it. You can listen to it though, and imagine that we're more attractive than we really are. You can feel comfort in knowing that you're not alone. Well, technically we're all alone. We all die alone anyway. But this show is funny! Way funnier than dying alone. What's that, you're not single? You can listen too. But don't be smug about the fact that you're not enduring the torture that is dating apps. You probably fall asleep lonely while you're next to your spouse. You don't have to admit it, we know it's happening. It's fine, we're here for you.
