About This List

A collection of all of our groovy podcasts!
  1. The Food Podcast is a show where personal stories are shared through the lens of food. Join host Lindsay Cameron Wilson, a best-selling cookbook author and journalist, as she takes you on an adventure through sound, story, music and memory. Food is the launching point, the portal. Human stories, however, are at the heart of each episode. It's a food and story podcast, if you will, released monthly, after a long simmer, when the flavour it just right.
  2. Welcome to TURNING A NEW LEAF, the podcast that discusses all things related to the recent legalization and regulation of recreational cannabis in Canada. From doctors and filmmakers to growers and lawyers - we look at all perspectives and opinions.
  3. Hosts and film critics Stephen Cooke and Cartsen Knox go and see a movie together, which then leads to a conversation about other classic and not-so classic related films.
  4. Back Home: A Music Nova Scotia Podcast brings you original and unique content from the music makers, movers and shakers of our beautiful province. Hear stories, performances and interviews you can't find anywhere else.
  5. The Coast presents: 25 for 25. A year-by-year audio archive. Through the lens of the city’s alt-weekly, editors Jacob Boon and Tara Thorne bring you the stories that shaped Halifax over the past quarter-century. From the first issue of the free newspaper—published June 17, 1993—to the latest blog post, The Coast has had a clear mission: to cover Halifax better than any other media organization on the planet. Founded by six friends from King's College who were inspired by New York's Village Voice, The Coast has remained independent and locally owned even as other Nova Scotia papers (not to mention the iconic Voice) surrendered their independence to the disease that is corporate chain ownership. The Coast's weekly mix of award-winning news, arts and entertainment listings earned it membership in the international Association of Alternative Newsweeklies in 2003, a sure sign that outsiders think The Coast is on the right track. But external validation will always come in second-place for The Coast, where connecting with Halifax readers is most important. The Coast is a controlled-circulation newspaper, distributed free every Thursday at over 610 locations around HRM. The highest concentration of papers can be found on the peninsula, around the university campuses and downtown.
  6. Inside Out Casts is the official podcast of THE TORONTO LGBT FILM FEST
  7. Creative people can fashion something beautiful, something meaningful, out of nothing. A power like that deserves to be recognized and celebrated. The ICE Awards includes a professional development day as well as the big event: the ICE Awards Gala. ICE is organized by volunteers in the marketing industry and submissions are judged by an out-of-region jury.
  8. ICEBREAKERS is the official 2017 ICE Awards podcast, celebrating the best of Atlantic Canadian creativity! ICE is an acronym that stands for Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise. The ICE Awards are organized by a diverse group of Atlantic Canadian advertising and marketing professionals to celebrate creative advertising made in Atlantic Canada, and vie for the coveted crystal ICE Buckets.
