In this episode we speak with Saskia Westerduin.
Saskia began her career as an art director and later worked as a creative director in various leading advertising agencies.
In 1998, she launched "de VormNatie", a full service communication agency.
In 2007 she decided to withdraw from the company and to settle as a freelance strategic design manager and designer: SW• ad (Saskia Westerduin Art Direction).
Design-Thinking has always been the methodology Sakia used in innovation processes. Her work consisted in introducing innovative designtools, set-up co-creation processes and develop a well-founded communication strategy.
Since 2009 Saskia is connected to KASK / School of Arts University College Ghent where she still gives some courses, including a master seminar on design and communication.
In 2013, Saskia became creative director of Ministry of Makers (MoM), a platform that aims to promote and facilitate creative and innovative entrepreneurship in Ghent and East Flanders.
MoM achieves this by creating understanding and awareness in the various aspects of the "creative and innovative entrepreneurship” with 'design thinking 'as a mindset.
