Recently, Planned Parenthood announced Alexis McGill Johnson as its new president and CEO. But there's not much new about McGill Johnson. She's held the title as interim president for the last year and has been a board member of Planned Parenthood, its lobbying arm, and its political action committee.

After a year-long search, an internal hire suggests that the role of the chief executive of America's leading abortion provider wasn't exactly a coveted position.
