The satirical fiction crime show takes its inspirations from our societies that celebrate influencers and celebrities thanks to their constant media exposure while replicating behavior from social media stars that undertake tasks that feed into the narrative that they project on their societies. It’s a never ending cycle that might be a fiction but I think there are individuals who are not keen to be truthful towards their audience; it’s all about scoring a big scoop or breaking a new reports.

A Very Fatal Murder kicks so much ass early on, tearing into Serial and all the faux-Serial imitators that came after it. It loses steam towards the end of the first season, but the scene in episode one where a grieving mother has to read a podcast ad will forever be one of the funniest things I've ever heard. "The Full Moon!!"

A funny and biting critique of true crime podcasts that can be insensitive and voyeuristic at time.

Auch! A harsch comment on me as a podcast listener and - I guess, I´m not American - to the american society. But very well done, and with some twists and turns I didn´t expect.

They replicated the tone of This American Life just right. I did not find the writing that funny.
