Quick recap of our own busy schedules (Just to let everyone know why the long delay?) It is the offseason, so it shouldnʼt be that big a deal - but nonetheless… Aaron Rodgers/Matt Lefleur issue with audibles - much ado about nothing or something to worry about(?) https://www.packersnews.com/story/sports/nfl/packers/2019/06/18/audible-rumblings-over-aaron-rodgers-take-mattlafleurs-offense/1461029001/ Lefleur apparently really wants to run the ball, which is fine, but… Will Aaron Rodgers allow that to happen? Can Aaron Jones stay healthy as an every down back? Brett Favre got his instagram hacked - apparently he teased that he was coming back to the NFL… Brett Favre / Aaron Rodgers appear to be besties now - they played a golf tournament together and were seen chumming and laughing it up…my how things have changed. Overview of proposed APP sponsorship tiers
X’s & O’s The Packers were overmatched even before this game started - It was announced that BOTH offensive Tackles would be inactive due to injuries - this was NOT GOOD(!) The defense was an abomination on a nationally televised game, again. Losing Mike Daniels early in the game proved to be very costly, but it was not the primary reason for the defeat - the secondary of this packers team was exposed (again) as a fraud - poor safety play and atrocious CB play. Both Demarious Randall and Quentin Rollins are not starting caliber players in the NFL - in fact they may be fringe back-up CBs at this point in their careers. This packers defense was supposed to be faster, but they were anything but - the talent gap between these two teams on the defensive side is CANYON wide - they have no decent cornerbacks at the moment. Jordy Nelson was lost for the game in the first offensive possession due to a “quad” injury(?) Randall Cobb was lost in the 2nd half with a shoulder injury and did not return.  This greatly hurt the offensive gameplan no doubt The early returns on Martellus Bennett are not good so far - he played very poorly and had 4 dropped passes by himself.  He appears slow footed as well. Aaron Rodgers played poorly - I really don’t care what the apologists say.  The interception was Favre-esque and the fumble / lateral “pass” play was on Rodgers - that was a designed hot route play.  He was supposed to take the snap and throw it immediately.  He did anything but(!) Ty Montgomery was the lone bright spot for the packers on offense, Kevin King was the only bright spot on the packers’ defense. It has become a recurring theme since the super bowl victory 6 years ago that Mike McCarthy coached teams can barely compete when facing good-to-very good teams on the road, especially on prime time tv. This packers team collectively lacks speed - the WRs/TEs and RBs are all average at best in terms of speed - they have no true “burner” on either side of the ball. It’s safe to say that the defense’s dominating performance against the seahawks was a mirage - Seattle barely won against a very poor 49ers team. (Seattle scored only 12 points).
The first "episode" of the Absolute Packer Podcast. In it, Elliot and Andy discuss the plans for the podcast!
Episode 11 of APP (Recap of Packers vs. Lions) Topics: X’s & O’s The defense is terrible - all 11 preferred starters were present and still performed horrendously Brett Hundley still had a handcuffed gameplan given to him by McCarthy - he missed some throws but he still only averaged less than 5 yards per attempt, which is anemic for a QB (starter or backup) Aaron Jones only played for about half the first quarter then was essentially benched for the whole game after he missed a blitz pick-up assignment...dont get that either The starting offensive line only lasted for about half the game - Brian Bulaga was lost for the year with a torn ACL Outside of Football stuff: Martellus Bennett - the most hated man in Packer nation right now Timeline: Bennett on injury report coming out of the bye with a shoulder Bennett doesn’t practice all week Bennett doesn't play in lions game Bennett is released by the Packers on wednesday with strange and rarely used “did not disclose injury” designation by the Packers, which is code for they want their money back from him Bennett is claimed on waivers by the Patriots on thursday, practices with the Patriots on friday No word from Ted Thompson on anything related to Martellus Bennett saga - instead McCarthy is left to be the messenger for the front office - not a good look More @JSComments! The entire packer organization is a fraud. We were led to beLIEve that TED, MM and DC knew what they are doing. WOW, WHAT A BLEEPING MF BLEEPING TRAIN WRECK OF AN ORGANIZATION Can somebody shove Dom Capers in his car's trunk Trade Rodgers for a bunch of draft picks and begin rebuilding the team. It would be respectful to Rodgers to let him go. Oh how great this roster is. There. Happy? Now go send your resume and salary requirements to Delusional-R-Us. All they have to do is win 3 more games and then Rodgers comes back. Then win all three playoff games on the road and get to the Superbowl   Business/League stuff: Jerry Jones threatening to sue the league over language in the Roger Goodell extension The NFL is at a crossroads right now in my opinion - ratings are down, injuries are up (to a lot of star players) and the quality of product on the field is down   50-TK-ELLIOT (508-535-5468)
#24  - “2018 Draft Post-Mortem” The NFL Draft - overall recap of picks:   Jaire Alexander; CB; Louisville Josh Jackson; CB; Iowa Oren Burks; LB; Vanderbilt J'Mon Moore; WR; Missouri Cole Madison; OL; Washington State JK Scott; P; Alabama Marquez Valdes-Scantling; WR; South Florida Equanimeous St. Brown; WR; Notre Dame James Looney; DE; California Hunter Bradley; LS; Mississippi State Kendall Donnerson; OLB; SE Missouri State Packers Organization stuff as it relates to the draft: Andy + Jeremey had quite a back and forth via FB messenger that was basically a Seinfeld-esque “airing of grievances” regarding the packers lol.  (We can go through that thread as needed and maybe find some gems!) Thoughts on how Gutekunst ran the draft (was it more like the same old stuff, ie Ted, or did he sort of break the mold a bit?) Jeremy was NOT pleased when Gute traded out of the 14th pick, and then got a 1st round pick from the Saints for 2019.  While this move does not help right now, it was grand larceny by Gute...hard to not take that deal if I were him. The pick of a punter in Rd 5 and then a Long Snapper in Rd. 7 were head scratchers on the surface.  Can’t remember the last time a punter AND LS were drafted by one team in the same draft(?) The Packers FO brain drain continues NFC North Teams and their overall Draft: Chicago Bears - Drafted LB Roquan Smith from UGA with the No. 9 overall pick in Rd. 1 (Smith looks like a stud LB)...The Bears are quietly building a young, formidable defense. Detroit Lions - The Lions remind me of the Milwaukee Bucks...they always seem to have pre-season hype and expectations and always fall short.  They drafted a Center in round 1(?) Minnesota Vikings - Drafted a CB out of UCF with the 30th overall pick. The Vikings are the team to beat until further notice.
Jeremy's Notes: A recap of the 24-17 loss to Minnesota, now putting the Packers on playoff brink @ 4-6-1. 5 NFC losses and will lose playoff tiebreakers to Washington, Minnesota, Seattle who are all in wildcard contention. Aaron Jones was involved in offense with 17 carries for 72 yards and 1 rushing TD. He added 3 catches for 21 yards. Was it enough or should he see more? Rodgers had a pedestrian game, missing Adams on multiple “go” routes he beat Xavier Rhodes on. 17-28 for 198 yards. Sacked 4 times. Packers did not adjust well to Minnesota’s adjustments in second half. Minnesota blitzed less and got consistent pressure rushing 4. No one could step up while Adams was hounded with multiple defenders. Spriggs did not step up while filling in for Bahktiari. Defense hit the brink of competitive balance with injuries. Tramon Williams mishandled punt was a disaster, but the failed 4th down try by the Pack turned the game around and put Packers middling offense out of contention. Positives? The future looks bright. A new coaching staff will be in place for 2019, flush salary cap room and 10 draft picks upcoming. The team is developing a solid base of veterans with Davante Adams, Aaron Jones, Kenny Clark, Blake Martinez and Corey Linsley (to name a few). They need to be leaders. Two first round drafts picks in lower and upper half of round. Young talent with MVS, Alexander, Jackson, St. Brown looking good and progressing. Upcoming game at Lambeau against 2-9 Arizona. What does Arizona do well? What will be the outcome?

APP podcast #25  - “I Can’t Help You With That...” First round of OTAs and Mini Camps recap: Andy went to 2nd OTA practice for just a little bit - not much to report except that Jimmy Graham and Marcedes Lewis look like real tight ends compared to Richard Rogers and the other stiffs they’ve had since Jermichael Finley The 3 rookie WRs definitely have size - this will be the tallest WR corp that Rodgers has ever had Let’s be honest - everyone is just running around in shorts playing patty cake...it’s silly and damn near useless in today’s modern NFL Other odds and ends: Mike Pettine is a bit more fiery and demonstrative than Dom Capers - that is a welcome change HHCD was absent from the initial OTAs due to a death in the family from what we know.  On his return he said he was not holding out for any sort of new contract but then he said that with literally a wink and nod. ? Winston Moss really shouldn’t do press conferences anymore.  Honestly the fact that he has survived as an assistant into a 3rd DC is very odd. 9-3 is pretty darn good all things considered. Unfortunately wasn't game isn’t going to tell us anything unless they lost. Even a blowout win tells us nothing. The Packers did score a TD on their first possession, which was nice to see. It was a game that saw Aaron Jones mis-used (again) for whatever reason - granted he couldn't get much going in the ground game but given conditions the Packers should have just kept pounding him but they didn't.  They continue this odd thing where they have one offensive series with Aaron Jones, then they pull him and give the next series to Jamal Williams Speaking of Jamal Williams - he played very well, he always plays hard no matter what is at stake. Brian Bulaga played a week after an MCL sprain and played pretty well - very impressive. Davante Adams quietly has 3 touchdowns in the last 3 games after having zero for basically the entire season (although he was hurt for a number of games). Alan Lazard had a nice game with a big 3rd down catch and he had a long TD reception too.  He is the team's defacto No. 2 WR Geronimo Allison had a couple catches but he is very frustrating to watch - there was a sideline pass that went right through his hands - you've got to catch that! David Bakhtiari is having a down year - he had his 12th penalty today on offense. Not exactly all-pro... This defense leaves so much to be desired - they basically have had all 11 preferred starters for the entire year and they rank in the bottom 1/4 of the league in every major defensive category.  Don't let the 31-13 score fool you - this is a terrible Giants team and the Packers defense was their usual self for about 3 full quarters. Kevin King is an incredibly inconsistent player - he flashes a lot of potential, but gives up way too many big plays considering it is his 3rd year in the league.  He is what he is at this point - inconsistent. Kenny Clark played better today and had a great 3 yard run stuffing TFL in the 1st quarter.  They desperately need him to emerge down the stretch. Mason Crosby is having a very good year, good for him - the rest of his unit is shitting the bed every week.  ST is a disaster JK Scott had a much better game today vs. his past 3-4 games.  Good to see him punt well in crappy weather too as he has struggled with that in his first two years in the league. Predictions: Andy 27-17 Elliot 28-14
The Packers are 2-0 to start the year AND 2-0 in the division...that is a very pleasant surprise! The Packers started this game on a break-neck pace offensively jumping out to a 21-0 lead on 3 straight TD drives, 2 passing and one rushing. While the Packers are 2-0, much of their early success has been because of their defense.  The offense is maddeningly inconsistent and still needs a ton of work. This was the exact opposite start when compared to the previous game against the Bears where the Packers' offense had MINUS 17 yards of offense on their first 3 drives in that game(!) Everything on offense basically went away after the first quarter...there were stalled drives, poor play calling, turnovers, you name it and it happened from the 2nd quarter deep into the 4th quarter... The Packers' defense played pretty well, but they did give up a few big plays: Long rushing TD to Dalvin Cook on a really poor tackling angle taken by Darnell Savage Long TD pass to Stephon Diggs, the ball probably should've been intercepted by Jaire Alexander but it went right through his hands and into the waiting arms of Diggs for a TD. The Packers offense did their defense no favors by going 3 and out on almost every drive after the first quarter (It seemed they went 3 and out). ODDS & ENDS: Raven Greene was lost to season-ending IR There were like 3-4 OPI calls in this particular game, 3 of them on the Vikings alone with one call negating a touchdown - I don't recall seeing a game with that many of those types of calls on offense in a long, long time. Kirk Cousins is terrible - had the Vikings had competent QB play they win this game...Cousins missed 2 or 3 wide open throws and also threw an absolutely terrible INT on 1st and goal late in the game. The Packers offense has struggled for years on short-yardage situations - they are NOT a run-blocking offensive line but both MM and LeFleur seem to think that they can pound their RB into the line on 3rd-1 or 4th-1...it rarely if ever works. Jimmy Graham continues to be left alone to block defensive ends 1-on-1 for reasons that astound - he is a mediocre blocking TE at best, why oh why do they continue to ask him to single-block elite rushers?!  Jimmy Graham has a huge cap number on this team and he is well past his prime - his contract makes no sense. LG Layne Taylor was pulled a few times to allow Elgton Jenkins some playing time - Taylor might not be long as the starter and for good reason...he is getting bulldozed way too much. Jeremy, as always, had a great recap HERE. Andy was actually at this game at Lambeau Field, his first since attending the Packers vs. Vikings last year. It was rainy and dreary for basically the entire contest but the conditions weren't bad enough to inhibit any game plans from either team. The Packers scored a TD on a free-play/offsides on the opening series, with Rodgers connecting with MVS for a long touchdown in the endzone. The Packers had a sort of bend but not break approach to their defense against the Broncos, but they did give up two +7 minute TD drives. The Packers' run defense has been suspect vs. the Vikings and Broncos...it needs to be shored up quickly Andy counted at least 15 missed tackles midway through the third quarter - they probably had +20 missed tackles in the entire game(!) On a super-positive note: Jaire Alexander is an all-pro CB right now - he is incredible. 1st Round Pick Rashan Gary had his first sack and he had a fumble recovery. The Packers have a speed & talent issue on offense and it reared it's ugly head in this game: Davante was double-teamed and had a pedestrian game (Zero TD's in the first 3 games this season) MVS constantly teases us, but he was basically 0-3 on plays in this game that could have allowed him to take the next step Jimmy Graham is worthless and might be in the top 3 of overpaid players in the entire NFL - he really should be benched at this point, regardless of his $12MM salary. Geronimo Allison is who he is - a UDFA receiver who struggles to get open Rodgers himself hasn't had a hot start to the season, he needs to play better as well.  We've seen glimpses of greatness but on the whole the entire offense has been massively inconsistent. Misc Stuff: I (Andy) took notice of the crowd at Lambeau and how they interacted when prompted to "get loud" while the Packers' defense was on the field - while improved, the crowd could still be better. The jumbotron screens both showed "The Smith brothers" trying to get the crowd amped up on 3rd down, etc. -it's pretty amazing how quickly Za-darius Smith & Preston Smith have endeared themselves to the Packers and the city of Green Bay...it's fantastic. JK Scott is officially a weapon for this team - he has had an incredible start to the season. Eagles @ Packers Predictions: Elliot 24-21 Packers Win Andy 24-17 Packers Win Jeremy 20-15 Packers Win
Episode 17 of APP (Recap of Packers vs. Panthers) Topics: X’s & O’s There seemed to be an air of confidence about the team to start the game, even though Rodgers couldn't get a first down. Rodger’s arm looked pretty good to start the game - seemed to have some zip on it, but his timing was off just a bit as he threw behind both Jordy and Cobb on what would normally be easy throws for him It was an absolute crime that Aaron Jones only carried the ball 3 times the entire game - McCarthy and Rodgers will never commit to run the ball even when it’s staring them both right in the face. All 3 interceptions were poor throws from Rodgers - all 3 were underthrown (something he never does).  The pick that was meant for Cobb should have been a TD if he threw it high enough over the LB. Davante Adams suffered his 3rd concussion in 14 months on that bush league hit by Thomas Davis.  2 concussions on illegal hits for Adams sucks, but it might affect his contract as he is proving to be concussion prone(!) This was the 1st 3 INT game in 8 years for Rodgers - that is an incredible stat and a testament to his greatness.  In fairness the Panthers have a good defense - top 5 in the league I believe. This might have been the poorest collective defensive effort of the year - a no name WR caught 2 TDs and old man Greg Olson caught a WIDE OPEN TD on a blown coverage by Josh Jones Dom Capers is a dead man walking...he might get fired the day after the last regular season game. This team also lacks talent everywhere - it’s pretty depressing actually and that’s on Ted. Outside of Football stuff: The titletown district sledding hill opened! More @JSComments! “Our highest paid, best player on the team sits just because the team isn't doing well? Is this the new precedent?” “Why is this superstar wasting his career in Green Bay ? APP podcast #26  - “Next man up(set)” Snapshots from training camp: All 3 of us went to the first padded practice of training camp on Saturday 7/28.  First time we had all 3 been together since we first floated the idea of bring in Jeremy(!) We got to see some of the defensive linemen doing some drills up close - Kenny Clark looks fantastic, as did Mike Daniels.  Montravious Adams has been standing out in 1 on 1’s. QB’s are not showing much. Hundley has not progressed and Kizer is inconsistent, leaving door open for Tim Boyle. Other odds and ends from training camp: Jake Ryan is out for year. Oren Burks and 3 UDFA’s are backups. Should they sign a veteran such as Navorro Bowman? Rookie WR’s have had a rough camp. Inconsistent play has plagued them. Will they step up and provide “12” reliable weapons? Thus far WR Jake Kumerow has been the best WR of the backups. “12” has raved about him. If he continues this will leave difficult roster decisions. Jimmy Graham has been featured in team drills. Will this be the “new look” that MM mentioned? Offensive line, especially Bakhtiari and Bulaga are injured and it will provide opportunity for Spriggs/Murphy/Bell to prove they are legitimate. First preseason game against Tennessee tomorrow. Most starters will not play or play very little. Who needs to shine and prove the depth is good enough? Is team depth sufficient?  Jeremy blogged about it here.https://www.absolutepacker.com/node/42 DE/OLB Khalil Mack is holding out of Oakland’s training camp in hopes of new contract. Would it be wise to call Oakland and explore trade? What would be a fair trade? Would he improve the Packers defense? Non-Football Stuff The league has suspended the new anthem rule until further notice. Teams like Miami have taken matters into their own hands and will suspend or fine players for not standing.http://www.latimes.com/sports/nfl/la-sp-nfl-dolphins-anthem-20180720-story.html?outputType=amp Other NFC North Stuff: Chicago Bears: rookie LB Roquan Smith is still without a contract. The APP Team breaks down and dissects Andy's health and the Packers vs. Redskins
X’s & O’s (PACKERS VS. BENGALS) The Bengals starting offense hadn’t scored an offensive touchdown in their first 2 games so OF COURSE they scored an easy TD on their first possession to start the game against the Packers defense. Kevin King had his lumps against AJ Green, but Green is a top 5 WR in the league and King is a rookie CB - he passed his first test. Aaron Rodgers turned the ball over 2 times again...so uncharacteristic, especially at home The Packers offense, to include obviously Aaron Rodgers, played GREAT in the 2nd half comeback win. Get this: the overtime win was the FIRST of Aaron Rodgers CAREER as a starting QB(!) he had been 0-7.  His win over the bengals also meant that he has beaten every team in the league in his career. X’s & O’s (PACKERS VS. BEARS) The Packers’ offensive line was down to their 3rd string tackles...unreal amount of injuries to one position this early in the year! With that said, the patchwork offensive line played great Aaron Jones (3rd string RB) looked great in what little we saw - he looked like he was shot out of a cannon when he came out of the backfield. 5 more injuries occurred during the game: Ty Montgomery (ribs) Joe Thomas ILB (ankle) Martinez ILB (possible concussion, came back in game) Jamal Williams RB (knee) Davante Adams (Decapitated!) - The fact that Danny Trevathan wasn’t ejected was stunning - that hit on Adams was lethal and could have ended Adam’s career. Also: the Bears are TERRIBLE Outside of Football stuff: League wide anthem protests (kneeling, locking arms, etc of players and owners) - general discussion Trump fanning the flames by tweeting ridiculous comments about players who kneel Owners locking arms with players due to Trump’s comments (looks like branding/posturing and nothing more by the owners)     Cover of sports illustrated magazine not received well Twitter account to follow (for all the wrong reasons) - @JSComments
Episode 13 of APP (Recap of Ravens vs. Packers) Topics: X’s & O’s This was the nadir of the season thus far - just a brutal game from the 1st Hundley interception and there forward The first offensive drive look very promising, then the horrible interception A Positive: Davante Adams appears to be the only player on offense who is playing well with Rodgers or Hundley Kenny Clark injured later in the game, he has been playing very very well so that stinks Mike Daniels pissed himself and got caught on camera Spriggs the human turnstile played RT in relief of Justin McCray’s injury and played horrible - he doesn’t look long for the league, let alone the packers Future of the Packers and the Division Wildcat, 4th down - passive aggressive? Mays Outside of Football stuff: LeRoy Butler nominated for HOF Aaron Jones MJ More @JSComments! “McCarthy was cited for Offensijuana.” “Do not let Hundley walk when his contract is up: DO NOT EXTEND RODGERS' CONTRACT.” “Cut Hundley and give him a pack of gum on the way out” 50-TK-ELLIOT (508-535-5468)
Topics: X’s & O’s Death, taxes & opening touchdowns surrendered by the Packers’ defense: The Cowboys marched down the field to open the game and scored a TD against the Packers defense.  Lather, rinse & repeat. ???? HHCD has not had a good start to the season - he was voted to the pro bowl last year but he has been average (at best) this year. The Packers have real problems at Cornerback - Kevin King, a rookie, is their best cover guy and he got hurt.  ALL CBs behind him have huge flaws of some sort. Aaron Jones looks twice as good as Ty Montgomery right now.  He’s faster, quicker and just looks more like a real RB.  Ty Montgomery should NOT be the starter anymore after Jone’s performance The patchwork offensive line played ok, and that’s all they really needed to do Special Teams was a dumpster fire - Mason Crosby missed TWO EXTRA POINTS(!) The defense failed AGAIN when the team needed them most - giving up a 9 minute drive, letting Zeke Elliot run all over them late in the 4th quarter to allow the Cowboys to take the lead. The winning drive + TD pass by Aaron Rodgers is the stuff that makes a HOF career - that was a brilliant drive. Aaron Rodgers played a superb game - he owns the Cowboys for the most part Outside of Football stuff: The Mike Pence walk-out “stunt” at the Indianapolis game Roger Goodell complaining/pleading with teams and owners now that $ are being impacted. The Bears had quite a hyped-up offseason and managed to only put up 3 points(!) against what, at first glance, appears to be an actual, competent NFL defense by the Packers! Jeremy had a great recap HERE. The Packers' offense on the other hand, needs A LOT of work - their first three drives netted a grand total of NEGATIVE 17 yards or something. Let's face it - this game (for the offense) was basically the 5th pre-season game. Aaron Rodgers looked pretty darn average for most of the game, his mechanics and footwork are still really suspect for whatever reason... The collective offensive line, save for Brian Bulaga, had a rough night against the formidable Bears defensive front.  Some of this is to be expected, but Layne Taylor got lit up all night and even David Bhaktiari gave up a few pressures. Aaron Jones was kept in check all night - he ran for maybe 30 yards the whole game Davante Adams was, at times, TRIPLE COVERED by the Bears.  Somebody else has got to get open outside of Adams - it didn't happen last night.  They have a huge drop off in talent & speed at WR after Adams...that could be a problem as the season rolls on. Back to the defense: Zadarius Smith was an absolute beast - early returns are very positive. The safety play might have been the best it has been since the days of Nick Collins.  Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage were everywhere and playing really fast. Kenny Clark is going to get PAAAAAAAIIIIIIIDDDDD and very soon - he made one play where he was in the backfield tackling the RB as the snap happened(!) Blake Martinez had a really good game too. Special teams: JK Scott might have been the highlight of the game, which isn't good on one level since he's your punter but he was money - booming punts all over the place and switching field position with relative ease for the Packers' defense Crosby made a field goal! Other stuff: Mitch Trubisky stinks - he can't throw to his left to save his life and his overall accuracy is extremely suspect Why oh why does Aaron Rodgers continue to run the play clock to zero before he snaps the ball - it's killing the rhythm of the offense and gives an unnecessary advantage to defenses... League stuff: Antonio Brown basically worked his way from the Steelers to the Patriots sort of like Brett Favre worked his way to the Vikings in 2009.  It is absolutely sinful that the Patriots continue to get great (albeit head case) players from other teams who make stupid PP decisions...it has to stop at some point.  Inept teams and owners continue to basically enable the Patriots. Speaking of the patriots - they are absolutely loaded AGAIN this year and crushed the steelers 33-3 last night on SNF.  That team is playing Chess while everyone else in the league is playing checkers. The Dolphins are terrible.  They got beat 59-10 yesterday and apparently, half the players have requested that their agents seek trades to other teams ? The Vikings looked pretty good the other day - their running game is really, really good - should be a good test for the Packers and the new look defense.
First pre-season game is in the books! Packers won 28-26 but what does that really mean lol I (Andy) didnʼt even watch the game - had other commitments Oren Burks has a torn pectoral muscle and will likely be lost for the season(!) No other significant injuries to speak of Jason Spriggs got cut - he was a HUGE bust of a pick This wasnʼt all that surprising but itʼs still very disappointing He really seemed like a canʼt miss type of draft pick - it just goes to show how fickle the NFL draft really is. Both starting RBs are hurt, although Aaron Jones returned to practice today Dexter Williams, 6th round pick, looks very good except he canʼt catch the ball - something Lefleur REALLY wants in his RBs. The most impressive player during all of training camp so far is probably Danny Vitale - the fullback lol   Aaron Rodgers isnʼt a fan of joint practices & Trevor Davis got injured on a live kick-off return drill during one these joint practices There seems to be this goofy narrative that LeFleur & Aaron Rodgers are feuding lol Apparently the Packers were in the running to trade for the Ravenʼs kicker
