Lavinia B. Masters is a wife, mother, grandmother, author, speaker, and advocate for sexual assault victims. Lavinia has made history with her fight to end the rape kit backlog beginning in 2004, when she sought closure to her case. It was then she discovered her kit was sitting on a shelf for over 20 years. Determined to end this travesty gave birth to H.B. 8 "The Lavinia Masters Act", that was signed into law by Govonor Greg Abbott in 2019. She speaks up for victims and empowers them to use their voice. Her ministry touches thousands of lives each year.
