RATING
A stellar listening experience right from the start. The production value is top notch, the story a Hollywood blockbuster worthy and the acting is fantastic. I love it when a show manages to paint everything so vividly you feel you are there just by clever writing and production.
First season was okay, second season just kept on dragging on, and was extremely woke which got really old really fast...
Great production, much attention to detail, good thriller. Nice acting, writing and sound design. A classical survival story with a strong feminist touch. Recommendable.
Great story, terrific cast. Who doesn’t love Jeffery Dean Morgan’s voice in your ear? Need another season, please!!
This is story telling at it's best. Sound quality, direction is amazing. Look forward to every episode.
Either release a new episode or wrap up the story. The story and actors have been great, but been waiting far too long for new content. I'll delete this rating if we get some kind of update.
The voice acting was really good, but the story was weird and confusing.
Big name voice cast, intriguing concept and impressive sound design give Aftershock the feel of a major production, though the story and character development falls a little flat. I found myself struggling to care about the characters, though there are some dramatic moments abd surprises along the way. Sarah Wayne Callies, David Harbour and Jeffrey Dean Morgan are confident in their roles and their delivery of the script shines above the amateur voice acting you often find in audio drama. However, without their contributions it is actually a pretty underwhelming show with a wasted premise.
Can't get enough of this podcast, starstudded lineup, great plot and production. Binge worthy - 5 stars all the way.
First, let me say that the voice acting, central plot, and soundscape are all really good. I was interested immediately, and enjoyed the first couple episodes. It was great! That being said, once we met new characters, the focus of the show seemed to.... shift.... and the tone changed. It seemed like the writers decided to take as many shots as possible at anyone that is not a person of color as possible. It's blatantly racist.Literal phrases like "Isn't that what you white people do," "Sounds like something a white person would say," and literally stating that love cannot be colorblind are all included. If this doesn't bother you as a listener, just consider; what if the word white was removed and replaced with 'black' or 'asian' or something else? It'd be flagged immediately as racist. As a white listener who loves dramatized podcasts and listens to literally hundreds of hours of content, this one disappointed me. With the quality of the production, it has so much potential, but it is too concerned with the color of people's skin to just tell a good story.
Excellently done!!!
Despite the capability of the people involved in the project, from the behind the scenes techies to the actors, this show failed to outshine or matches the established audiodrama podcasts. The ending of season 1 really help justify my reason for persisting with the podcast. The plot had more Hollywood flavour than your average podcast, especially with the villains and the twists.
Loved every minute of it!
Had a bad experience regarding investing my funds, wasn’t easy for me as I was scam severally. I lost almost all of my money until I came across a recovery company. They helped and assisted me and helped in terms of recovery my funds . I got my funds recovered in just 4days with just little effort. I will highly and highly recommend Marketpeac.net to any scam victim out there
Excellent thriller with great acting. My only complaint is that ads are interspersed throughout most of each episode. I get that they want you to subscribe, but this makes me less inclined to do so.
Only one season in, but so far it's great. High production value and great voice acting - love me some David Harbour. Interesting premise, a bit of mystery and a tad horror perhaps. Excited to see where this one goes!
An edge-of-your seat listening experience, so vivid you can almost see it, can almost smell the dust in the air and the salty ocean. I can't wait for more episodes to piece together what happened!
The setup and plot is completely absurd.
This is Schrodinger's story. 1 star if it's serious. 5 stars if it's a dark comedy. Science says it's 5 stars because this story is a complete joke.
