First, let me say that the voice acting, central plot, and soundscape are all really good. I was interested immediately, and enjoyed the first couple episodes. It was great! That being said, once we met new characters, the focus of the show seemed to.... shift.... and the tone changed. It seemed like the writers decided to take as many shots as possible at anyone that is not a person of color as possible. It's blatantly racist.Literal phrases like "Isn't that what you white people do," "Sounds like something a white person would say," and literally stating that love cannot be colorblind are all included. If this doesn't bother you as a listener, just consider; what if the word white was removed and replaced with 'black' or 'asian' or something else? It'd be flagged immediately as racist. As a white listener who loves dramatized podcasts and listens to literally hundreds of hours of content, this one disappointed me. With the quality of the production, it has so much potential, but it is too concerned with the color of people's skin to just tell a good story.
