In 1972, at just 10 years old, Richard Moore was shot and blinded by a rubber bullet fired by a British Soldier whilst on his way home from school in Derry. This week, Richard spoke to Jarlath about his incredible life of struggle and forgiveness, and why the Dalai Lama calls him his 'hero.'
Richard speaks with a beautiful honesty about his journey of reconciliation, acceptance and how blindness allowed him to view people without prejudice. Richard also tells the harrowing story of how the Northern Irish State hid evidence in his case and the shocking letter that he received from the soldier who blinded him.
