In this episode, I interview Todd Montgomery from The Elephant Sanctuary, located in Hohenwald, Tennessee. Since 1995, the sanctuary has been home to 28 elephants retired from zoos and circuses. We discuss the difference between Asian and African Elephants. We then cover the early beginnings of elephants in captivity, life in the circus, and how perceptions of elephants in entertainment have changed in society.
