I know there's only one episode so far, but DID YOU LISTEN TO IT ?? Combined with the trust gained from past work from Observer Pictures, this futuristic sci-fi sounds just as incredible as the script is so far !! I was lucky enough to see Faith give a talk on script-writing & that clear command of the art is on full display here... subscribe today !!!
Started with real potential and was looking forward to more but it fizzled out after the 3rd episode-3stars
Loved this podcast - looking forward to the next episode.
This is really well produced. Subtle things like 'whoosh' sounds to announce scene changes. Well done Faith and everyone involved. Good music too!
Two episodes and I’ve been thinking about and looking for the next episode for like 5 days! Really excited to learn more about this future world.
Man, What can I say about Apollyon? It's a podcast that will definitely punch you in the gut, but the perfectly paced storytelling and passionate performances by the VAs makes that punch in the gut too compelling to not come back to again and again. Amazing work all of you!
Definitely enjoy this podcast! The only thing that's a bit much for me is the personal drama going on. Now, that's just a personal thing, others may very much enjoy it, but for me it drags a little bit in the second season. Maybe there's a payoff coming to all of it in season three, but if not, it's only a slight annoyance, but again, just my personal opinion. I still think it's better than any of the big budget podcasts with the well known actors in them. This is easy to listen to and I find myself getting immersed in the story. The personal drama aside (as that is a preference of mine rather than a critique), this is one of the rare 5 stars I give out, and it is well deserved! That final episode was something else. In eps. 19, I started screaming at my car radio that they were setting everyone up to be caught at the banquet speech. I really thought she had figured out what was happening and was giving them the rope to see what they would do. I was ready for that in the finale, and was expecting a glorious reveal of the plot to catch them red handed. Boy was I wrong...and I'm so glad I was! It was one of the best season ending episodes I have ever experienced, both in TV and podcasts, and it paid off season two brilliantly while setting the stage for an explosive season 3! It was a magnificent work of art, and I still can't believe what happened, even after listening to it many times since.Overall, this is one of the best podcasts I've found, and I cannot wait until season 3!(Oh, and I hope the season super cuts are coming soon...)
Clunky, sophomoric dialogue (90% of which is just trite filler, cotton candy but without even the sweet, albeit empty enjoyment of cotton candy) and equally clunky, hammy (over)acting. I was already cringing in the first episode, by the second it was full-blown and constant vicarious embarrassment at both how badly written and badly acted it was.To top it all off, while it might not have been the creators' intention the whole thing leaves a disturbing anti-vax sentiment, esp. distasteful during these times.I *really* wanted to like it but found it deeply disappointing.
ApollyonHi! Curious what made you feel there was an anti-vax message? This was absolutely not my intention.
