President Trump has released a new immigration plan that would be merit-based. It would require those coming to the country to speak English and be able to support themselves and their families. The plan would also slash legal immigration. Hear from immigration Johnny Sinodis and Glenn Hamer, president and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry. and The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors has approved $1.3 million to fund programs to help the homeless. The money will be used for housing, support services and emergency shelter. Bruce Liggett, the director of the Maricopa County Human Services Department, will tell us more. and 60 large and small businesses and trade associations filed a friend-of-the-court brief filed with the Arizona Court of Appeals recently, supporting a Phoenix ordinance that provides equal rights for the LGBTQ community in public accommodations. Angela Hughey from the organization ONE Community helped get the businesses to sign on to the brief, and will tell us more about the issue.
