In 1954, the United States government ordered the construction of the world’s largest particle accelerator. The facility was complete in 1969, located deep below the pastoral countryside of Garrett, Maryland. The local population called this marvel of technology The Loop. The year is now 1987, and we have lived alongside The Loop for almost 20 years, but not all is as it seems in Garrett, Maryland.
