I was really SO excited when I heard that Avast! was in development. I love learning about pirates, and Paul is a perfect host for it. Beautifully produced and written with excellent sound quality, music, and sound effects. I really like the concept of the 'Captain's Logs' and enjoyed listening to the first one today. You know Paul. You love Paul. Paul could make reading the dishwasher manual sound fun, but lucky for you he’s not reading a dishwasher manual. He’s telling y’all about the coolest (and often misunderstood, larger than real life mythology) topic of Pirates! Now, I’m not a pirate-Ologist, but Paul is doing his homework, debunking what we thought about pirates, and finding the nugget of truths that inspired the entire pirate lore- from common language we use today to “pirate speak” inspired by Disney, it’s clear we are going to learn so much, and enjoy it. One episode in and one behind the scenes upside down, already can’t wait for more. Now go listen or walk the plank. And, suck it, Thomas Edison.

This is a really fun start to a great new podcast! It's well researched and full of interesting trivia and info about pirates, delivered by host Paul Csomo in the amused, laid-back fashion that I've really missed since he left his last project. Audio quality is fantastic, too. Definitely give it a listen!
