In the previous episode, we spoke about ‘Rambha’, one of the apsaras (nymph, fairy) from Indralok (heavens), and Apsaras in the life of Dr Bachchan. There was also a story of Yagna and Som-Sura and a word Dron-Kalash. Today, we talk about the initial hesitation, self-respect, moving beyond and that humans can do anything with their own abilities. पिछले अंक में हमने बात की थी स्वर्ग और धरती की अप्सराओं की, रंभा की, अप्सराओं के साथ यज्ञ की, सोम सुरा की और एक शब्द के बारे में बताया था – द्रोण कलश। आज कुछ बातें स्वाभिमान की, कुछ संकोच की, कुछ पहली हिचकिचाहट की, और उससे आगे बढ़ने की और यदि इंसान में सामर्थ्य हो तो वो क्या कुछ नहीं कर सकता!

आज मिला अवसर, तब फिर क्यों मैं न छकूँ जी-भर हाला; आज मिला मौका, तब फिर क्यों ढाल न लूँ जी-भर प्याला,

छेड़छाड़ अपने साकी से आज न क्यों जी-भर कर लूँ; एक बार ही तो मिलनी है जीवन की यह मधुशाला ।।६२।

बार-बार मैंने आगे बढ़, आज नहीं माँगी हाला; समझ न लेना इससे मुझको, साधारण पीने वाला,

हो तो लेने दो ऐ साकी, दूर प्रथम संकोचों को; मेरे ही स्वर से फिर सारी, गूँज उठेगी मधुशाला (60)
