On this week's show, Mike Bauman chats with vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Ravi Orr (Vagus Nerve, Phyllotaxis, Cosm) about one of his latest musical endeavors, Vagus Nerve. On the cusp of releasing its forthcoming EP "Visceral," Vagus Nerve is comprised of the aforementioned Orr (Vocals), Doc Coyle (Guitar), Mike Gowen (Guitar), Aden Oxenreider (Bass) and Moe Watson (Drums). Orr and Mikey talk about getting Vagus Nerve together, including the band's formation, recording process, chemistry, Kickstarter, album artwork from Gustavo Sazes, mixing from Forrester Savell (Dead Letter Circus, Karnivool) and more. Mike also talks with Orr about his path to this point, including a potential spot on "The Voice," difficulties growing up, nearly being homeless, spirituality and keyboard hate warriors. Amidst the conversation is also a fair bit of tomfoolery and rambling, totally free of charge to you (You're welcome). So is the song "Pull Me Out" off the upcoming EP, courtesy of Ravi (sorry Doc)!To keep up with the latest on Vagus Nerve and the band members' other musical projects, make healthy use of the links below.
