When you act instead of reacting, it creates momentum which then spurs you into taking more and more action. 

I live on the outskirts of Nashville and own a house here, and there isn’t a city trash pickup. I dread taking the trash off, it's so awful. I hate it but when I finally go take the trash off, I come back and clean the yard, I air my tires, boom, boom, boom, just knocking out everything with action on action on action. 

All it takes is 1. Just start something and keep going while keeping a positive attitude. Realize that you are knocking out tasks and decluttering your mind.
