Alisha is a recognized industry leader in the field of sports philanthropy, who has been called upon to share her expertise at industry conferences and has been featured in global media outlets such as SportsBusiness Journal, BusinessWeek and ESPN.She has worked for over a decade with professional sports teams, athletes, leagues and national organizations developing and executing impactful strategies, partnerships and programs. Alisha established Rounding Third LLC in 2009 to apply her extensive knowledge of sports philanthropy to prominent clients including the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation; Justin Verlander's Wins for Warriors; the President's Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition; the Steve Nash Foundation; 3x Olympian Tracy Evans & Kids Play International; The George Washington University; and Athletes for Hope.Alisha is the director of the prestigious Patterson Award on behalf of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, the nation's largest philanthropy devoted to health. She works to achieve the vision of the award which annually recognizes a professional sports team, individual athlete/coach, and a sports organization for excellence in sports philanthropy.Alisha has strongly influenced academic growth on the subject of sports philanthropy. She was appointed by Columbia University to be the sports philanthropy advisor for the Master of Science in Sports Management graduate degree program. Alisha saw a void in educational opportunities at the university level which led her to envision and create the first ever university program in sports philanthropy. She is currently the director for the inaugural certificate in sports philanthropy at The George Washington University School of Business (GWU).Prior to consulting, Alisha spent eight years at the Sports Philanthropy Project (SPP) managing all sports partnerships with teams, athletes, leagues and others, enabling her to build an extensive network within the field. She developed innovative professional development opportunities in addition to directing sports outreach efforts for a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation social marketing campaign, partnering with Major League Soccer to reach 1.5 million people.Alisha began her career in event management working with the Corel Champions Tennis Tournament, the Washington Redskins and the National Kidney Foundation. She served as Guest Services Manager at the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Washington, D.C.She is an active member of her community previously sitting on the advisory committee for the Jewish Community Center of Greater Washington's Sports Hall of Fame and serving on the board of the DC chapter of Women in Sports and Events.Alisha graduated from Indiana University, earning a degree in Sports Marketing and Management with a minor in Business. She holds a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from The Center for Public & Nonprofit Leadership at Georgetown University.
