A few facts from The State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World, 2020 report

India is at 102 out of 117 on the Global Hunger Index.
A report says, around 14% of our population is undernourished
20% of children under 5 are underweight
34.7% of children under 5 are stunted
51% of women between age 15-49 are anemic
These figures talk a lot about what kind of mammoth we are dealing with.

The situation we are in, these numbers are only increasing every single day.

Every year countless children drop out because their parents cannot afford education. As time passes they also deal with hunger.

Akshaya Patra Foundation, since its inception, has been fighting hunger in kids and have encouraged kids to join schools through their various programmes PAN India.
