Jasmine Sneyd, a long serving British midwife, first started her career in the Corniche Hospital in Abudhabi, in 1982.She retells her experiences back in the 80’s…how women birthed and how they were supported, how midwives were respected for their roles and how they were known as the ’special ladies’ , the parenting education she supported couples with but also how she wishes that births today were less medicalized and hopes that one day, things go back to the way they were.
