FRESH AND CLEAN

The Fresh and Clean segment on #SuitUP Podcast explores the latest in music, style and culture. On this episode of #SuitUP Podcast, Exavier interviews actor Travis A. Knight. Knight plays the role of Alton, a mixed-race character who is a friend of ex-communist turned village newspaper owner Sidney Brustein in the Goodman Theatre production “The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window.”

The Sign in Sidney Brustein’s Window was written by legendary playwright Lorraine Hansberry. This adaptation is directed by Anne Kauffman. The production runs from April 30-June 5.

Exavier and Knight discuss how his own mixed race background affected his approach to the role and how his athleticism affects his approach to performing.

Knight (Alton) prepare to raise a mammoth sign for their friend outside of Sidney Brustein’s New York village apartment, an underdog political candidate for local office.
