Sometimes we find ourselves in a place we didn't expect, life took a sharp turn for the worst, that is what happened to Abraham's second wife.  Abraham also finds himself confronted once again by the leader of a pagan nation and must choose how to handle it.
Abraham once again finds himself caught in a "lie".  Often in our own minds we try to justify sin, for one reason or another.  Lets talk about how Abraham twice lied about his wife and a, seemingly pagan king called him out.
"Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgement than for that city!"  -JesusJesus tells us to learn from the judgement of Sodom and Gomorrah, not for the sake of fear but of the sake of the love we have in Christ.
Sodom and Gamora is one of the most familiar stories in the Bible.  Even if you are not familiar with it, this story will make you rethink what we think about God's judgement but also God's grace.  Gen 19
There was one who cared . . . Abram.  Why did God allow this man to negotiate for a sin filled city?  This man invested his life to reach everyone he lived around with the Most High God until the end . . .
Hospitality is a word not often used today even though we'd all like to think that we are hospitable.  Abram takes this to a whole new level when he gets the opportunity to speak with Christ (Christophany).  Why don't we hold this high a level of kindness today?
Alright, when we think of promises the normal response is not "well, I'll go get my sharp knife".  We'll find out that the Lord had other plans in mind when trying to remind Abram of the promises God made to him.
First God calls Abram out of his land then God promises he will be the father of an entire nation. Although Abram didn't have a child to be a father of anyone. Every time we bring about God's will by means he NEVER intended always ends badly.
This week, Tom, Justin, and special guest speaker Brother Mike covers Genesis 15 and the covenant that is made between God and Abram. What would you do if you had an interaction with God on that level? We also discuss the connections between Gen 15 and Joshua 2:8. We look forward to you joining us.Genesis 15Joshua 2:8John 3:16
Tithing the ancient Canaan, an army and an adopted nephew?  This sounds like one crazy Holly Wood movie but it's not, it's in the Bible.  Lot was the adopted nephew of Abram and his uncle-daddy wouldn't stand by and watch his nephew-son be taken by the Chedorlaomer (yeah we couldn't say it either).Contest ends November 5th 2020   Have Fun! Melchizedek Church of Jesus Christ
Finally on the scene is the man name Abram.  God used him to bring forth the blood line that would bring forth Jesus the savior of our world.  Although unfortunately he doesn't start out very well.  Is there such thing as a "little white lie"?
Did God create venomous snakes and for that matter did he create mosquitos?  The tower of Babel once upon a time was used by God to spread humanity over the face of the world.  But what did He use to bring us back together? Mosquitos and God Snake Venom
Okay so Noah and his family have just survived the world wide Food now what?!  What do they do now? What happens to the entire human race now?  What does God have to say about this whole thing?
More than one global flood?!  Nope, but there are many records of the event after all the whole world was destroyed.  How did the ark survive and global flood?  What other flood legends are there?  Where did all the water come from for the flood and where did it go? Flood Legends Ron Wyatt In the Beginning - Walt Brown
Today we take a small glimpse into this world just before the Great Flood.  The pre-flood world was in short not entirely the world we see today.  What are the Nephilim?  How big was the Ark that God setup to save humanity? Ark Encounter DeBunked - All Those Animals Couldn't Fit On The Ark
Why was Cain's sacrifice rejected by God?  What was the mark of Cain?  What happened to the world after Abel was slain?  This whole situation was never part of the plan but like all things God has a way out for all of us who decide to reject God and formulate our own plan.Hebrews 9:22 - Shedding of bloodRevelation 13:8 - Lamb slainDNA
Passing the buck has often been the way people deal with something the don't wish to fess up to, the creation of this world was no different.  There truly is nothing new under the sun, and when we fall, we fall hard.  The Chili Crew talks today about what exactly happen when our great great great great grandparents decided to make their first bad decision.  Echoes of EveHiding from God

Joel and Troy met in Bible college years ago and were always connected by ideas of wanting to change the world. When they realized that there was no one actively converting old sermons into audio, they thought this was their big idea. But as they worked with the project more this became less about a big idea and more about a labor of love. Joel and Troy want to help Christians grow in their walk with God by looking to heroes of the faith and the words that they preached.
DESCLAIMER - in the episode there are age appropriate topics that should be taken into consideration before letting sensitive ears listen to it.  Kent Dickerson was truly a blessing to speak with and his book Remade was an excellent read.  We would highly recommend if you or someone you know are struggling with an addiction to pornography please seek out Kent and his book it could be the tipping point in your life.
The story of the good Samaritan has always been a parable that has touched us all on a personal level.  Who is my neighbor any way?  With all the injustices happening in the media we need to rethink for just a moment, who did Jesus want us to understand in this story who the neighbor was?

Neil was a wonderful addition to the Chili Crew because he truly has a passion for reaching other people through the testimony of others.  When people deliver their testimony it's delivering the gospel through someone.  What is honor?
The Romans Road or the Road of Salvation, it's a path through the book of Romans that leads one to understand salvation. Romans 3:23 - For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.Romans 6:23 - for the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.Romans 5:8 - But God commended His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Romans 10:9-10 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart . . . This live cast was too good to let go, please forgive the audio quality.
No one likes being lied to so it's always a good idea to make sure you're on the right path.  Today we talked about, well what else, Christianity and if it's correct.  Are Christians the ones who have it right in the first place?  What is your best defense of your faith?
